The Rolling Stones argue that ‘Time is on My Side’, BUT IS IT?

I believe the discipline of time management is the #1 challenge for most of us, but especially business owners. Do you say “yes” to that which is important, and ”no” to that which is not important? The biggest challenge is when we say ”yes” to issues that are perceived as urgent. Most urgent issues are created by others’ perceptions.
“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back” – Harvey MacKay
“Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.” – Zig Ziglar
Do you need help to become the best you? Does your business need help to become the best version of itself?
How much time do you spend in quadrant 2 above? Most find themselves stuck in quadrant 1, reacting to everything and everyone around them. While it can yield results, mostly tactical in nature, this is where the ‘check the box’ folks are rewarded. Quadrant 1 will always demand your time & attention, and is riddled with REGRET. Quadrant 2 begins with knowing what’s important tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.
In working with my clients, we generally strive to get at least 50% in quadrant 2. Once CEO’s/entrepreneurs/business owners experience the success from this pivot, they desire even more time there.
It takes ruthless prioritization, discipline & the right habits. Where are you spending the bulk of your time?
